The Architecture of Florence

Walking through the streets . . . and looking up . . . gives you perspective on life from another time.

The view from the ground in Florence is stunning, with architectural treasures on every corner.

It's interesting to see how modern architects worked around the gifts from those who had gone before them - and managed to blend styles, colors and details.   It's old against new, and strangely, it works beautifully.

The rest of the world could take a lesson or two in complementary color schemes - Italian towns understand harmony from a visual standpoint.
