As the day progressed, the weather grew cool and clouds moved in overhead. The dramatic skies continued to change.
By evening after dinner, as we were leaving the city, a tremendous thunderstorm rolled in, flashing bolt lightning on the horizon. It was a spectacular sight, as the buildings stood in stark relief against the sky, illuminated only by the lightning.
Of course, we ended up getting drenched on the boat back to our car. But seeing the storm against such an incredible backdrop was something we'll never forget.
Unfortunately, the camera wasn't quite quick enough to catch any of the lightning in action. And fortunately, we didn't get struck!
